Lady Madonna

The idea for this work came from the Beatles song, 'Lady Madonna' combined with some work I have been doing recently on Picasso. His painting of Marie Therese Walter seemed the ideal mother figure to use in this context.

I also like the idea of mixing styles within one image creating a conflict, yet the subject matter and narrative create a type of unity.
